I had a great time here. Met some friends on my first visit, and tried a few of the Pilsners. it was a cold rainy day early in the afternoon so it wasn’t as busy. But the atmosphere was still nice. The beer was great and the outdoor area will be great for the family. Going to have to try the food menu next!
If you are looking for a chill double date night this is it. Nice clean atmosphere we went on a Thursday night and it wasn’t busy at all. Food is delicious if you love pizza and my boyfriend is always looking for a good pizza place best part it’s handmade with real toppings that you can’t get enough of! We’re not beer lovers but we had a great experience with the bartender she helped us pick out a great selection of beers to try till we found the right one I loved the totes shandy was very light, crisp, and smooth. Will be back to try other stuff on the menu that looks just as delicious and more new beers ◡̈
Wow. Hard to get to off of i35 but well worth it. Pizzas were very good and the beers were spot on. GF had wine and said they had a great selection of good wines. Multi-level with both indoor and outdoor on each. Will come here again!
Great new brewery in South Austin! Lots of exciting and unique beer options, and plenty of indoor and outdoor space - even for big groups. Knocked off a star because while I thought the pizza was good, it was a little underwhelming. We tried 5 different pizzas which were all unique, but not quite bursting with the flavor we had hoped. There also weren’t any pizza options involving your classic veggie choices so it felt like the menu was lacking a bit.
Love the atmosphere, the beer and the pizza at Fast Friends! We hung out on their deck on their Friday night with our dog and had a great time.
We ordered a few different beers and enjoyed them- their Hazy is good, their Marzen is awesome and their Helles is phenomenal!
The pizza is wonderful - we’re easy and got the cheese pizza extra crispy and their kale salad. Their kale salad is actually legit too - great dressing and the croutons are legit.
The service was awesome. The gal inside at the beer counter was friendly, patient and gave us great recs. We’ll definitely be back soon!
A delightful brewery located northeast of Slaughter and I35 that offers beer and top notch pizza.
The beer is quite good, though a bit over-priced in my opinion. Definitely caters to the Tesla crowd a bit. The German Pils was very good and their Juicy IPA was nice as well.
The pizza was fantastic and probably worth the trip alone.
The interior is large with lots of natural light and picnic tables. There are games to play as well as several TVs. I saw a bunch of Austin FC jerseys while I was in there (Go El Tree!) so might be a spot to catch a match.
Will be returning as soon as I save up some cash.
Really wished we had a great time since it’s so close to us. Like others, considering the name, we were expecting staff to be at least friendly rather than sufficiently neutral (better than rude, though!).
The beer was okay, but the pizza was really not good. I’m not trying to be excessively mean here, but I’m not lying in saying the crust was like cardboard and the cheese was… crusty. It was like when you try to make pizza at home in the oven using a frozen pizza dough disc and basic shredded cheese and bake it for too long. I’m okay with paying $25 for a decent sized pizza if it’s at least better than chain pizza.
Other things were just not thought through. I’m fine with going up to the counter to get my food, but not when it’s a pizza tray too hot to touch and the wire rack you try to balance it on to avoid touching the pan is too small. Finally, you can’t control the weather, but there needs to be better climate control outside when it’s either too hot or too cold half the year — especially when it’s too loud and echoey inside.
I mention these critiques with care as I would very much like for this place to be better as I’d come all the time, but I’ll go elsewhere until then.
Huge beer hall located on I-35 frontage road which has opened new. Great selection of beers on tap and pizza, with vegan options as well. The pizza had great presentation and is huge, great value but definitely can taste better. The crust is a bit chewy.
The beers ordered were great, they have the option for a smaller pour as well which is great. Sure the beer flavor will improve but definitely a repeat visit should be given. Outdoor and indoor seating available.
